About this deal

The audiobook was quite well made, I'll give you that, because I don't think I would have finished it in paper form.

He now lives his life as an expat in Taiwan where he can be found hiking mountains, getting sunburnt at beaches, or yelling at his friends in Chinese over a game of Smash Bros. The first Ruth Ware book does have a few hints of horror, however, if you do not like horror novels, the book is safe to read. If Rachel was murdered or committed suicide Jean McKenzie would have heard about it either in the headlines or on the news considering it was such a huge case. It's a lush area, but has a creepy statue of a woman labeled Achlys (Greek Goddess of death and poison). Her son becomes a companion to an aristocrat’s son and her daughter is set to marry into a wealthy family. So Rachel was murdered (and not necessarily quickly, considering she was surrounded by hardened criminals).

Donald sustains the tension beautifully over the course of this long book, depicting his smoggy setting so well that your eyes sting while your pulse races. I thought that because the letters were found, the lawyer Mr Wrexham, would get eventually get them. The Turn of the Key is a compulsive tale of a nanny sitting in jail awaiting trial for the murder of one of her charges.
