Old ring of ten hung "dead" in a new galvanised steel frame for automatic chiming. New ring of ten bells installed with new bell frame all new fittings. Sound control installed. Major restoration in which the cast iron “H” frames were cleaned and rebuilt on galvanised steel RSJs. The bells were tuned and given all new fittings and electromagnetic chiming hammers and rehung in rebuilt frame. U/R (full-circle ring), 4 cwt (~200 kg) in E♭. Unringable; ropes fall in a straight line; no slider(s). Ringers come from all walks of life and generally range in age from ten to those in their eighties. Electro-magnetic chiming hammers were fitted and a programmable unit was manufactured and installed. Estimated weights are expressed in hundredweight, and indicated by the suffic cwt. They may include a fractional part. This turning process is normally carried out by a bellhanger as part of a rehang. Very old bells may even eventually get one-eighth-turned, and if that configuration also wears too heavily, the bell is often set aside for display because of its probable age and rarity value.
