About this deal

It couldn’t quite keep my attention – it was often just a list of his race classifications - but I finished it, nevertheless. I have fallen out of love with F1 even before he retired, so reading this reminded me of the exciting years, where fortnightly on a Sunday it was race day.

This was a strange choice for me as I am not a fan of F1 but I am interested in the stories of sportsmen/women. But not only that you get a look into his life growing up and as he moved through the ranks of Motorsport. Jenson Button, personnage dont je me moquais, je le classais comme un pilote très en retrait, peu ouvert et très peu intéressant. Button, or JB I should say in proper F1 style, has an abundance of amusing stories to tell from his 17 years in Formula 1, and the book hurtles through them in a way that is both informative and hilarious.A few entertaining stories from behind the scenes of F1 but if you've seen recent interviews promoting this then you'll have already heard all the interesting parts. There's an interesting chapter in his own mental health and the panic attacks he used to suffer from. In the intervening eight years, Button has been involved in some very public disagreements, one involving the inappropriate behaviour of Richard Branson (which actually happened in early 2009 at the Australian GP but did not come out until much later) and something of a Twitter disagreement with his teammate Lewis Hamilton. A Honda ambassador, he is also co-owner of Rocket Motorsport and co-founder of Leger cycling apparel.

The full-length, in-depth and intimate autobiography from Jenson Button, one of Britain's greatest ever racing drivers. What's ironic is that I got an art scholarship on my colour ability and I'm much more a pattern-maker than anything else. Tym razem tak źle nie było – brytyjski kierowca rzeczywiście poświęcił swoją autobiografię na opis kariery i wspominki.Jenson’s first book with Blink, Life to the Limit, was the best-selling sports book of 2017, with 133k copies sold through TCM. This was never going to be one of the great motorsport books but it's an entertaining enough read - especially when I only paid a fiver for the hard cover version in The Works!

I’m always a sucker for driver autobiographies – although published in 2017, I’ve only recently managed to read Jenson Button’s “Life to the Limit”. Back in my sailing years, I spent six months sailing from the UK to the Canary Islands, the skipper was too cheap to go into marinas usually, so we had to tie up in the docks. Why did he want to leave British American Racing (BAR) for Williams in 2004 even as he was enjoying his best season to date? The memories he tells tugged at my heartstrings and, yes, made me a little sad, but I loved getting to know the character he was.He candidly discusses his relationship with the legends of his time like his compatriot Lewis Hamilton, McLaren teammate Fernando Alonso, and even his frosty relationship with Jacques Villeneuve.
