While it is a bit frustrated that things were left so incredibly open ended by the finish of the book, it also left me wanting more.

The book ends just as the characters are getting ready for the climactic battle, too, which got my goat. Again, by the middle of the book, I understood that the creature that they would eventually do battle with was different and more dangerous than what they were used to, but I had no idea how this world was supposed to be.Sarah Richards consoles her infant, but discovers infidelty in their own bedroom--sheets has residue of blood. However, I don't really mind that so much if I am pretty confident that the following books will be more focused on moving the story along.
