It is a self-priming paint (but will need sealing with our wax / finishing coat) which is rich and creamy, always giving superior coverage. The result is easier painting, better coverage and a long-lasting even finish, whatever the surface. Eco-friendly, water-based and with minimal VOC content, suitable for interior or exterior use on a wide range of hard surfaces including wood furniture, laminate, metal, concrete, glass and leather.

Bare wood should be pre-treated with Cuprinol Wood Preserver Clear (IP) before applying Cuprinol Garden Shades. Any overspray should be cleaned up immediately (whilst still wet) with water and household detergent. Garden Shades is a water based product, so an application of water and detergent should provisionally be used. On areas subject to wear, such as garden furniture, allow a few days before heavy use or contact with soft furnishings.

It can also be applied on terracotta, brick and stone, bringing our beautiful rich colour into the garden.
